EXPERIENCE YOU CAN SEE IN THE WORK
Decades of experience. One-of-a-kind results.
Houston Texas Woodworking is led by Josh Brower, a lifelong woodworker with more than 40 years at the bench, including decades as a professional craftsman, furniture maker, designer, and builder. Alongside his woodworking career, Josh trained as a dental surgeon and earned a law degree, an unusual path that sharpened his eye for precision, detail, and getting the fine points right.
His training runs deep. He completed a formal apprenticeship with a master woodworker, studied and worked alongside accomplished craftsmen across the United States and Europe, and pursued advanced study in woodcarving and sculpting in Austria. That foundation shows in the details: rare and figured woods, carving, marquetry, large-scale tables, and architectural pieces built to last.
Today, traditional craftsmanship meets modern CNC technology in a commercial shop in Santa Fe, Texas. The combination allows for highly customized work, from live-edge tables and one-of-a-kind furniture to architectural installations and sculptural art, for residential and commercial clients throughout Houston and the Gulf Coast.
He teaches free woodworking classes to Veterans and is a disabled Veteran.
